1、Overview
This product was developed to support manufacturers in establishing comprehensive test platforms and facilitating the application of future automation technologies, addressing practical needs in primary-secondary integrated detection equipment. In terms of functionality and current output, this product represents a domestic innovation. Utilizing linear power amplifier technology, it boasts high precision and excellent stability, making it suitable for calibrating, verifying, and repairing AC ammeters below Class 0.5. Additionally, it serves as a high-stability test power supply for verifying AC ammeters below Class 0.2, clamp meters, multimeters, and other instruments.
Currently, after completing the installation of primary equipment in substations and power plants, maintenance operations require current testing through the primary side of current transformers to verify the ratio polarity of each CT group and the accuracy of secondary circuit wiring connections. Traditionally, phase-specific current tests were conducted using conventional high-current generators (operating on voltage reduction and current boosting principles) at the primary side of current transformers. To enhance operational efficiency and convenience, a relay protection tester-style approach can now be adopted—injecting voltage and current signals directly from the primary side. This AC testing apparatus enables simultaneous current testing for multiple current transformer groups connected in series.
