NX-100KZ DC constant current source
The NX-100KZ DC Constant Current Source is an adjustable DC current generator designed specifically for primary column penetration tests in substations.
The NX-100KZ DC Constant Current Source, an adjustable DC current generator, is a high-precision current source specifically developed for substation primary column penetration tests, fault simulation in power system primary measurements, applications of integrated primary-secondary detection equipment, and comprehensive test platform construction. It can also be used for thermal relay calibration, motor protector testing, contactor inspection, circuit breaker verification, air switch calibration, switchgear inspection, and protection panel verification. Additionally, it supports calibration of high-current clamp meters, shunt devices, current transformers, and high-current AC standard meters. The system is also suitable for aging testing of high-current cables and other high-current equipment. With a maximum output current of 100A per unit, it will effectively replace traditional high-current generators and voltage generators, providing superior solutions for scientific research, production processes, and electrical testing scenarios in power plants, railways, petrochemical facilities, metallurgical plants, and mining operations.
1. The DC system of the on-site control cabinet is used as the test power source, with voltage adjustment performed through a variable resistor. The primary drawback of this method is that if short circuits or direct DC grounding occur during on-site testing wiring, it will directly affect the entire on-site DC system. In mild cases, this may result in loss of protection for high-voltage equipment, while in severe cases, it could lead to complete collapse of the on-site DC system.
2. Utilizing on-site alternating current, simple silicon rectification is performed using a voltage regulator to directly output direct current (DC). The disadvantages of this method are: ① The voltage regulator is bulky and inconvenient to use, with significant output DC ripple; ② There is no isolation between input and output, and the housing may carry electric charge, posing a risk to personal safety.
In response to the aforementioned challenges, our company has developed a next-generation DC constant current source featuring complete input-output isolation, stable and reliable DC output with low ripple coefficient, along with overcurrent and overvoltage protection. The device boasts an aesthetically designed compact structure, simplified wiring and operation, and provides independent test power supply for high-voltage switchgear operation tests at field sites. By eliminating reliance on on-site control box DC systems, it effectively prevents potential hazards to field DC infrastructure while ensuring safe operation of critical equipment.
